Curling vine,
Why do you curl
Your tendrils like a girl’s hair?
Green and growing, not brown and dead.
Why do you curl around a twig,
Holding it firmly in place
With a wrap of green.
When you die,
Do you untwirl?
Or do you dry
In a curly swirl?
Do you grow in curls,
Or grow then twirl?
Why do you curl,
Curling vine?
